We invite small groups of members of the public to “make a mouse” with researchers, using felt, wool and other craft materials. Throughout the 20 or so minutes we spend together participants can explore the origins of laboratory mice through conversation and interaction with objects.

Our research looks beyond the moment of the experiment to encompass the whole life cycle of laboratory mice, from breeding to tissue biobanking. This is important because it broadens our attention to the experience of laboratory animals throughout their life

our goal is to create a safe, care-full space where participants and researchers can exchange questions, perspectives and experience with curiosity and empathy for people and animals alike.
